Upstairs Hallway and First Time Wallpapering

On the left "before" photo, a hallway with wood floors, wood paneled knee walls, and white walls with a hole in the drywall. On the right "after" photo, the floors and wood paneling are the same but the wall has been covered in cream and forest green wallpaper.
Before and After of the Upstairs Hallway - January 2024

One of our first projects in the house was fixing the hole in the upstairs hallway - Drew took on this task with no experience repairing drywall and did really well! It was not 100% perfect and sunlight hits the hall at a 90-degree angle that's very unforgiving, so we decided this space needed some wallpaper to help hide the imperfections and add some fun.

We used a pre-pasted wallpaper and primed the wall with wallpaper primer since part of it was fresh, unpainted drywall. There was definitely a learning curve trying to figure out the best way to apply the paper and the angle of the wall made it extra challenging. Overall though, we're really happy with the outcome and the imperfections are only noticeable if you go looking for them.
