June Project Recap - New Blinds in the Primary

 

Primary Bedroom - June 2025

    In June, Drew was out of town for most of the month for work so we kept our project list relatively small. We had planned to replace the original blinds in our primary bedroom for a while since they were cheap and didn't block much light but were spurred on to finally do it after our cat broke some of the slats while she was peeping through them. We bought the same white, faux wood ones that we put in the living room in the prior year. As a reminder, here's what this room looked like when we moved in:

Primary Bedroom - December 2024

    We painted the room "Marianas Trench" right when we moved in and I've been very pleased with it. Some may say it's too dark or too bold but I think dark colored walls in an otherwise well-lit bedroom works for me right now! We also replaced the overhead light with a ceiling fan in the spring of 2024. Now that we've done the blinds, I don't foresee doing too much more to this room.
